I draw inspiration from the nature I see in my backyard, folk tales, children’s books, and ghost stories. I look for the intersections between story and truth. I read between the lines to find the quiet parts left unspoken. I think about the owls and crows that share the same tree but see the earth below differently. I am a fox who knows many things, admiring the hedgehog that always slips away. I look past the elephant in the room to find the real story hidden in the shadows. I’m always looking for the light. I grew up in Taiwan where I learned to love storybooks and traditional crafts, and carried it through my life as a maker. I found my way to Warren Wilson where I continue my journey with fellow travelers.
